Privacy Policy
Introduction
At SeniorsOfAmerica.us,
we understand that the process of selecting an Insurance Plan for an individual
beneficiary or his/her family member is a very personal one. Our goal at SeniorsOfAmerica.us
is to protect your privacy while ensuring that you are offered useful and
comprehensive information to help you make an informed decision. At SeniorsOfAmerica.us,
we also understand that relationships are built on trust and reputation. SeniorsOfAmerica.us
wants to make sure that SeniorsOfAmerica.us clearly discloses to
you the kind of information our SeniorsOfAmerica.us may collect
and what SeniorsOfAmerica.us does with that information.
What personal data do we collect and
why we collect it?
Personally Identifiable Information.
The SeniorsOfAmerica.us website (the “Site”) collects two kinds of
information that relate to you. The first, and most important to you, is
information that is personally identifiable to you. This is information like
your name, mobile device and telephone number, email address, and home address.
We do not collect personally identifiable information (“Personal Information”)
unless you decide to provide us with it. To be clear, you are never required to
provide us with Personal Information but not all of the services we offer will
be available to you without that information. For example, we will ask for your
contact information if you have requested us to send you information about
certain plans or services. Personal Information also includes information on
your health. However, we do NOT ask for and do NOT collect Medical Records from
you. Those records remain between you and your doctor.
If at any time you would like to
review or update the Personal Information, we have collected about you, please
contact us and we will arrange for you to do so. While you work with us, you
remain in control of all of your personal information at all times. Aggregated
Information. As is true of most websites, SeniorsOfAmerica.us also
collects anonymous technical and statistical information when you visit our
Site. This type of information may include items such as your IP (Internet
Protocol) address, Internet service provider, operating system, type of
browser, and the pages or sections you visit on the Site (“Non-Personal
Information”). This type of Non-Personal Information is collected in various
ways, but the primary methods we use are (i) cookies, which are little pieces
of code that allow us to recognize you when you visit our Site, (ii) web
beacons (or gifs) which allow us to see how you use our Site, and to know
whether you have visited a web page or received or opened an email message, and
(iii) standard Internet tracking tools to collect information like service
provider IP addresses, browser versions, referring websites, search terms used,
the average number of pages requested, the average duration of visit, and/or
total visitor traffic. Most Non-Personal Information is stored in what are
often referred to as log files.
Cookies and Trackers
Most web browsers are set to accept
cookies by default and Facebook Pixels. If you prefer, you can usually choose
to set your browser to remove or reject browser cookies and pixels, although
some Services may not function properly if you disable cookies. If you do not
want to receive tracking pixels, you will need to disable HTML images in your email
client, but that may affect your ability to view images in other emails that
you receive. Please see the Adobe website for comprehensive information on how
to delete or disable local shared objects known as Flash cookies. Also, this
site uses Google Analytics and Facebook Pixels. To opt-out of Google Analytics
please visit https://www.google.com/settings/ads and for Facebook's Pixel visit

If you leave a comment on our site,
you may opt-in to saving your name, email address, and website in cookies.
These are for your convenience so that you do not have to fill in your details
again when you leave another comment. These cookies will last for one year or
longer. If you visit our login page, we will set a temporary cookie to
determine if your browser accepts cookies. This cookie contains no personal
data and is discarded when you close your browser. When you log in, we will
also set up several cookies to save your login information and your screen
display choices. Login cookies last for two days, and screen options cookies
last for a year. If you select “Remember Me,” your login will persist. If you
log out of your account, the login cookies will be removed. If you edit or
publish an article, an additional cookie will be saved in your browser. This
cookie includes no personal data and simply indicates the post ID of the
article you just edited.
Your Comments
When visitors leave comments on the
site, we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP
address and browser user agent string to help spam detection. An anonymized
string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to
the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. After approval of your
comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your
comment. Visitor comments may be checked through an automated spam detection
service.
Media
If you upload images to the website,
you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS)
included. Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data
from images on the website.
Embedded content from other websites
Articles on this site may include
embedded content (e.g., videos, images, articles, etc.). Embedded content from
other websites behaves in the exact same way as if the visitor has visited the
other website. These websites may collect data about you, use cookies, embed
additional third-party tracking, and monitor your interaction with that
embedded content, including tracking your interaction with the embedded content
if you have an account and are logged in to that website.

SeniorsOfAmerica.us may
contain links to other third-party owned and/or operated websites. SeniorsOfAmerica.us
is not responsible for the privacy practices or the content of such third-party
websites. In some cases, you may be able to make a purchase through one of
their third-party websites. In these instances, you may be required to provide
certain information, such as a credit card number, to register or complete a
transaction at such a website. These third-party websites have separate privacy
and data collection practices, and we have no responsibility or liability
relating to such policies or practices.
How long do we retain your data?
If you leave a comment, the comment
and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and
approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a
moderation queue. For users that register on our website (if any), we also
store the personal information they provide in their user profiles. All users
can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they
cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit
that information.
What rights do you have over your
data?
If you have an account on this site
or have left comments, you can request to receive an exported file of the
personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us.
You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This
does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or
security purposes.
HIPAA Notice of Privacy Practices:
The Health Insurance Portability and
Accountability Act of 1996 (HIPAA) Privacy Rule allows individuals who provide
health information to covered entities or their business associates the right
to receive a notice that describes how their health information may be used
and/or disclosed and how to acquire access to this information. Neither SeniorsOfAmerica.us
nor any associated company will ask for or accept medical records from you.
